Ceramic Feelings

As you know, I’ve been playing around with ceramic work for a little while now. I’ve always loved clay, but fully embraced it after a workshop last summer.

So today I’ve been creating the Feelings characters out of clay. These families will be the inhabitants of the dollshouses for my solo show in October.

There are 10 Feelings being created in clay:

  • Anxiety
  • Worry
  • Lethargy
  • Burnout
  • Self-conscious
  • Bad Dream
  • Neglect
  • Fretful-nag
  • Afraid
  • Fat

I’ll share photos once they are completed and are moving in to their Subconscious Dwellings.

I’e toyed with the inhabitants being similar to the Feelings that have been in my shop so far and as resin casts that are painted, but the ceramic Huoli Worry dolls I’ve been making really hold a special charm and I want to capture that for the Feelings too. I hope they turn out ok.

Ceramic Feelings will be available in my online store after the solo show has taken place and I’m back to creating work for the shop.
