Creating a Dollhouse

Last summer I spent a few months building my own dollhouse.  It is something I have always dreamed of doing (and have done a few times as a child from non-lasting materials) but this one was solid.  It had two floors and some windows and stood at 30cm tall!

I sent it to my friend to be cast, but there were quite a few hiccups along the way and in the end the creation broke.  It isn’t fixable and I feel quite sad about it.

However, my friend says that he can print me a new one using his 3D printer.  He has created the computer design (re-creating my original sculpt) and is printing them right now.

Fingers crossed I should begin work on these at the end of the month.  More details and photos will follow.  These will be on display and available for sale at my solo show in October.
