Beautiful gifts

I can’t believe it’s the end of my first year at this new school. It has FLOWN by! I feel like I’ve barely blinked and the year has gone. Today we were treated to a beautiful lunch by our year 13 leavers who had set up a marquee for us and made delicious food and tasty mocktails.

To top it all off I was given a handmade bowl and two mugs by a student who has been a shining star in art. She spent the year creating and branding her own ceramic company as her art project. The work is gorgeous and I am so proud of the results she has achieved. She is launching her company in August and I can’t wait to hear how it all goes. She has even made her own wrapping paper that completes the package.

She mixes all her own glazes and if you could see the sketchbook that supported this journey you would be truly wowed!

Just another reason I utterly love my job!
