Raising awareness for the Ocean

This makes my heart SOOOO HAPPY!!! My year 9 students are creating sculptures that represent sea life but some of them have also incorporated raising awareness for ocean conservation and plastic pollution in to their sculptures! I?m so proud of them!

These jellyfish are a hanging installation. A wire frame has been covered with loads of rubbish from the recycling bin.

The scales on this fish tail are all cut from cartons and plastic bottles taken from this students recycling. The ?seaweed? is a carrier bag strip. He’s going to fill the middle of the fish with straws and things to show what killed it.
