Southern Rocks 2018
Today myself and a colleague spoke at our first Teaching Conference: Southern Rocks 2018. It was hosted at our campus and we were first on after the key note speakers.
We talked about our cross phase art project (which you can read about here -?https://www.tayloredcuriosities.com/cross-phase-sculpture-garden/ ) and what we learnt from the experience. We had a great turn out and although my nerves did a number on me first thing, once we started talking and I shared my passion for the project I designed, I started to feel a bit calmer.
I had examples of the students sketchbooks and we walked those who attended our talk around the sculpture garden that is in the school grounds.
A quick Q&A ended up with everyone piling in to my art room to look at my other students work and they were really impressed with some of the A-level work that was being created. Thank you to Stephen Lockyer for sharing this tweet.
