Toy Con UK 2016
What a weekend!!!!! Wow, I am only just feeling like my head has stopped spinning.? Ben, Blair and Barry put on one seriously ace show!
We booth shared for a second year with Lisa of I Break Toys and her completely fab family.? They were such fun to share with, we had a blast.? Ruby even dressed as Chewbacca to support her mums work.? The booth set up looked great and we had so much fun.? It was so good to catch up with people I haven’t see since last year.
The mini custom show was a hit.? Some pieces sold on the day and the others are available now from my online store HERE? there’s only one of each piece, they are beautiful additions to your collection.
The Anxiety Monsters from my ‘Feelings’ range sold out as did a lot of my fine art jewellery, so thank you to everyone that came by, said hi and picked up a piece of original art.
The day went so fast, but was one of those memories that will definitley stick with me for life.? The after party was insane!? We had dinner with the ever wonderful Jazzy Dan, Jim Freckingham, Sergey Safonov and his son and The Droid Foundry.
Then we headed to the official after party at The Star of Bethnal Green, organised by The Toy Chronicle boys (thanks chaps).? Followed by another pub with a Jon Paul Kaiser and Kelly, Evan Morgan and Missa, Gary (Bluefrog) and Ian (Uncle Absinthe) as the night drew on.? And it was here that I met Caroline Catz in the toilet que and Jarvis Cocker who was there for a different after party!!!! I was not cool and spoke to them both (you only live once after all).
The night ended in the breakfast bar of the hotel with Emelie, RXseven, Ian and Andy (TTC) with some hilarious conversations, romantic lighting (they turned the lights off to try and move us on, but it didn’t work) and a few more drinks.
Here’s a few photos I’ve borrowed from Bee (as I didn’t get many myself on the day).
If you didn’t make it this year, you MUST make it for the 2017 show.? Lisa and I will be sharing again (we’re already excited) and have some plans in the work for a collaborative piece.
Now I’ll finally unpack and unwind… someone put the kettle on?
