ToyCon UK 2013
Well the day finally arrived (April 6th) and I was a bag of nerves/excitement! An early start got us there in plenty of time to set everything up and once the doors opened at 10am we were ready! What an amazing day.? I met some artists I have worked with via the net, but had yet to meet in person, caught up with some of the usual suspects and finally met some of you wonderful customers and supportive folk!
It was such a busy day, it absolutely flew by! I didn’t get a chance to take many photos myself, so thank you to Cris Rose for the above image (click the image to see the rest of his Flickr account, he’s a brilliant photographer).
I had a large selection of work available on the day from Fenergygs, to Worry Teas to rings and brooches.? But the main exhibit for my booth was a glass cabinet full of Giant Monster Embryos and the customs the fantastic artists had done for me, including Jon Paul Kaisers’ which was done live on the day!
The customs were just superb! I couldn’t have asked for a bigger selection of talent in one cabinet! These are now available from my online store: http://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/category/monster-embryos
Freshly Caught Feelings and Worry Teas are also available in store now: http://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/category/fenegrygs and here http://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/category/aromatherapy-feelings
As well as the Strawberry Seedlings that I created as a ToyCon edition: http://tayloredcuriosities.bigcartel.com/category/seedlings
We couldn’t have asked for a better day or turn out.? The organisers did an absolutely top class job on the whole thing and I can’t wait until next year!
